Fire drill video for extinguishing oil tank fire

    In the afternoon of June 19, 2015, the fire officers and soldiers stood ready in front of four oil tanks of the same specification. Under the command of the commander in chief, according to the requirements of the fire drill plan, they respectively put the same proportion of oil into the four oil tanks. Using the same fire extinguishing equipment and methods, they separately used four types of fire extinguishing agents, namely, aqueous film extinguishing agent, insoluble foam extinguishing agent, F500 foam (imported) and M1 plant active flame retardant produced by our company, to carry out fire fighting demonstration, and test the efficacy of different fire extinguishing agents from the aspects of fire extinguishing speed, agent consumption, and degree of reignition.

     During the exercise, the staff conducted a statistical analysis of the usage and extinguishing time of four types of fire extinguishing agents: using our company's M1 plant active flame retardant fire extinguishing agent, the fire was completely extinguished in just 50 seconds without reigniting, and the amount of fire extinguishing agent used was only 9 kilograms; Among them, imported F500 foam extinguishing agent and soluble foam extinguishing agent failed to extinguish the fire. Because the fire was difficult to control, the commander in chief ordered forced extinguishing.

     After the on-site exercise, a summary meeting was held at the fire training base, and the leaders of the Provincial Corps and Ningbo Branch fully affirmed the effectiveness of the exercise. Through the comprehensive evaluation of this fire extinguishing exercise, the extinguishing speed, dosage, and superior performance of our company's M1 plant active flame retardant fire extinguishing agent in extinguishing oil fires have been widely recognized by the Ningbo Fire Brigade and leaders from all parties present.
